Paid, but the invitation has not started
Normally an invitation opens within a minute of the money arriving. When it takes longer, it is almost always one of the four cases below.
How matching works
Every order has its own reference code, and that code has to appear in the transfer description. When the bank reports money arriving, the system reads the description, finds the code and opens that invitation.
Nobody approves this by hand, which is why it is near instant when everything lines up.
The four usual cases
| The reference code is missing | The system cannot tell whose money it is. Send us the receipt along with your reference code and we will match it by hand. |
| You sent too little | The invitation deliberately stays inactive. Send the difference using the same reference code, or contact us for a refund. |
| You sent too much | The invitation opens normally. Contact us and we will refund the difference. |
| The bank is slow to report | Some banks take minutes or hours outside business hours. Wait and check again before transferring a second time. |
Do not transfer twice
If the first transfer has not opened anything yet, do not send it again. Each transfer is recorded separately, so two transfers become two payments and you then have to wait for one to be refunded.

Questions
The money already left my account, surely that is enough?
Your bank debiting you is not the same event as our system being told about it. The two are separate, and the gap between them is usually a few minutes.
Do I lose my work while waiting?
No. What you typed and the link itself are kept while you wait.
If I scan the QR code, do I still type a description?
No. The QR code already carries the amount and the description. Scanning it is the least error-prone route.
